Manchester City have reportedly blocked West Brom’s bid for Fabian Delph.
According to The Mirror, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has blocked West Bromwich Albion’s attempts to land Fabian Delph this month.
Delph, 27, made a surprise move to the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2015, with Manuel Pellegrini swooping to land the midfielder off the back of his impressive displays with Aston Villa.

Last season, Delph started just eight Premier League games as he struggled for fitness and playing time, and his fortunes haven’t improved much this season.
With just four appearances in all competitions and no starts in the Premier League, Delph is in danger of becoming the forgotten man at City – and clubs have been looking to offer him an escape route.

The Telegraph recently reported that Aston Villa and Newcastle United both wanted to sign Delph, but it appears to have been West Bromwich Albion who made a concrete move for him.
However, The Mirror report that City boss Pep Guardiola has had a change of heart, and has now blocked West Brom’s move for Delph with two weeks of the transfer window left to go.
It’s stated that Guardiola had been prepared to let Delph go, but he’s changed his mind after suspensions and injuries in the City midfield, and Delph could now feature in the City first team.
With Delph set to be given a chance to salvage his City career, West Brom must again look elsewhere for a new midfielder, having also missed out on Morgan Schneiderlin following his move to Everton.
