The Championship club have been linked with a handful of managers since the end of the campaign.

The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting that people close to Steve Evans are now advising the Leeds United boss to quit his post at Elland Road with the writing seemingly on the wall for his future with the club.
The current Whites head coach’s contract expires at the end of next month, and despite appearing to win the supporters over by guiding United to a safe mid-table position in the Championship, it appears that a new deal will not be heading his way.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that MK Dons’ Karl Robinson has already rejected a move to the club while Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke remains on the radar, which has led to Evans being advised to leave before he is pushed.

With the 53-year-old seemingly in the dark regarding confirmation over his future, the situation appears to be an extremely disappointing conclusion to a mixed tenure, but one that briefly suggested that Evans and Leeds could be a partnership that had the potential to mount a promotion push.
Though some of the results were disappointing, the confidence that he appeared to instil in the squad would have given the side belief that they had the quality, with some good additions in the summer, to perhaps challenge the division’s top six next season.
But with those close to him reportedly telling him to leave before the seemingly inevitable is confirmed, it appears that the former Rotherham boss will now not be given a chance to try and build on the somewhat promising start he made.
