West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Gervinho.

According to Calciomercato, West Ham United are interested in snapping up Parma winger Gervinho – but the Italian side aren’t willing to sell at all.

The Hammers were busy over the summer, bring in a whole host of signings including Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena and Felipe Anderson, but one of their big signings has been ruled out for the season.

Winger Andriy Yarmolenko has suffered a major Achilles injury that will keep him out for at least six months, and he ultimately isn’t expected to return until the summer following such a huge lay-off.

Now, whilst youngster Grady Diangana is showing promise, another winger could be targeted by Manuel Pellegrini, and Calciomercato report that West Ham are looking to bring in Parma winger Gervinho.

However, it’s claimed that Parma don’t want to sell Gervinho at all, and won’t allow him to move on in January having only signed him from Hebei China Fortune in August, with the odds of a deal described as ‘no chance’.

The 31-year-old has notched three goals in six games this season, and the 31-year-old has impressed in Serie A, though few West Ham fans would be impressed given his disappointing two-year stint with Arsenal following a 2011 switch from Lille.

Pellegrini did though work with Gervinho at former club Hebei China Fortune, and may have felt that a reunion would give West Ham an extra spark out wide in Yarmolenko’s absence, whilst also allowing Felipe Anderson to play as a No. 10 permanently.

With Parma reluctant to sell though, a return to London and a reunion with ex-Arsenal teammate Jack Wilshere looks unlikely, with many Hammers fans probably breathing a huge sigh of relief.
