The Portuguese left Forest this week, apparently due to a struggle to work with Fawaz Al-Hasawi.

A report in Denmark has reported the reasons why Pedro Pereira has left Nottingham Forest.
The Portuguese sporting director left Forest after just four months last week. The former Fiorentina and Braga official was expected to be a part of a long-term plan at the club, so his departure certainly came as a shock.
Now BT in Denmark, the homeland of Forest striker Nicklas Bendtner, has reported why he left.

They claim that Pereira arrived at the club with the intention of working under Evangelos Marinakis – the Greek businessman that current Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi was in talks with over a sale of the club.
His legal troubles in Greece have halted any potential takeover and that left Pereira working with Al-Hasawi instead.

BT report the pair struggled to strike up a good working relationship and that the Portuguese had twice tried to resign already – after the transfer window shut and after concluding a deal for Bendtner to join Forest.
The report claims the pair had completely differing views on the future of the club.

Nottingham Forest are currently struggling in the Championship and fans of the club are becoming increasingly frustrated with Al-Hasawi’s management of the club – with news of a potential US takeover undoubtedly filling Forest fans with hope.
