Tottenham Hotspur are edging closer to completing a deal for highly rated Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez.
Catalan newspaper Sport report a deal is agreed, but there is a hold-up as Espanyol have asked for a few days to sign a replacement.

This means Lopez will potentially play his final game for the club in La Liga this evening against Malaga – and hopefully avoid injury.
Sport report he is planning to fly into London at the end of the week to undergo his medical with Tottenham on Saturday.
Lopez then hopes to be unveiled as a Tottenham player on Monday and begin working with his new teammates.
France’s Hugo Lloris reacts
With Hugo Lloris out with a hamstring injury, the goalkeeper could have a prominent role to play, at least competing with Dutchman Michel Vorm.
The terms of the deal see Spurs paying an initial 600,000 Euros to sign Lopez on loan, with an option to buy for six million Euros at the end of the season.
Tottenham coach Pochettino is aware of Lopez from his previous spell as Espanyol manager, where the goalkeeper was a youngster in the B team.
