Celtic winger Paddy Roberts has been sidelined since November.
The Scottish Sun have claimed Celtic winger Patrick Roberts could be a part of Brendan Rodgers’ 18-man squad that travels to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on Sunday, if comes through unscathed on Friday.
The 21-year-old has been sidelined since the end of November with a long-term hamstring injury, after being forced off the field of play in the first half during a 1-1 draw against Stephen Robinson’s Motherwell.
Now, Manchester City loanee Roberts is set to prove his fitness after returning to training by playing in Celtic’s development side against Partick Thistle at Cappielow on Friday.
The report states that if the fleet-footed winger comes through the game unscathed, then Rodgers could look to include the England youth international in his matchday squad to face Derek McInnes’ Dons away from home.

Celtic completed the signing of Charly Musonda on an 18-month loan in the January transfer window, and he is now in direct competition with Roberts, James Forrest and Scott Sinclair. Jonny Hayes remains sidelined with a broken leg.
Musonda has shown just how effective he can be with the assist for Callum McGregor’s goal against Zenit last Thursday, while Forrest has arguably been Celtics’s best player this season.
But the decline of Sinclair towards the second half of the season could give Roberts a step into the first team, and it would be a close-run thing between him and Belgium youth international Musonda.
