Juventus stopper Gianluigi Buffon looks set for Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, who have fended off interest from West Ham United.
Buffon, 40, has been one of the world’s greatest goalkeepers for nearly 20 years now, and after joining Juventus back in 2001, his time in Turin is up.
The legendary goalkeeper has racked up more than 650 appearances for Juve in his 17 years at the club, and even stayed with them when they were demoted to Serie B back in 2006.
Buffon has won nine Serie A titles – the most of any player – as well as four Coppa Italias, and even won the World Cup with Italy back in 2006 in what has been a storied career.

However, one trophy which as eluded Buffon is the Champions League. Buffon has lost in three Champions League finals with Juventus, and his heartbreaking exit in the quarter-finals of this season’s competition seemed to suggest that Buffon would end his career without Europe’s biggest prize.
Buffon may be leaving Juventus at the end of his contract this summer, but he isn’t retiring, and the Daily Mail claim that a two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain is close to completion.
Buffon allegedly had interest from West Ham United as well as former club Parma, but with PSG no doubt launching another push for the Champions League next season, Buffon may see this as his final chance to secure the trophy.
West Ham seemingly wanted to give Buffon a crack at English football whilst solving a major problem position, but the veteran free agent will instead by heading to France, barring a late change of heart.
