Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld.

According to The Telegraph, Paris Saint-Germain are set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld this summer.
Alderweireld, 28, has been a star in the heart of the Spurs defence ever since signing from Atletico Madrid back in the summer of 2015, having impressed on loan at Southampton.
Reuniting with former Ajax and current Belgium teammate Jan Vertonghen has helped Alderweireld become arguably the Premier League’s top centre back, and one of the best in Europe.

With no new contract agreed at Tottenham – and a £25million release clause which could be activated in 2019 – some believe that Alderweireld could be on his way out this summer, and PSG are understood to have joined the race.
Kurzawa a factor?
PSG do already have a number of centre backs, including Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe, but they now appear keen to challenge Manchester United for Alderweireld’s signature in a bid to boost their Champions League hopes for next season.

Intriguingly, the news of PSG’s interest in Alderweireld comes just days after RMC Sport claimed that Tottenham held an interest in another PSG player, this time left back Layvin Kurzawa.
Spurs have already signed Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura from PSG in the last year, and may be keen on a third raid on the Champions League giants amid questions over Danny Rose’s future in North London.
PSG may be tempted to offer up the French left back in a bid for Alderweireld this summer, and if Mauricio Pochettino really is keen on Kurzawa, then that could give Spurs something to think about this summer.
