Fabio Paratici took Dejan Kulusevski to Juventus last year and would now have to pay even more to reunite with the forward at Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWEB, who report the Bianconeri will want to turn a profit on their investment if they sell. Paratici signed off on a €35m (£30m) plus €9m (£8m) in add-ons swoop for the Sweden forward in January 2020 while in charge in Turin.
Kulusevski returned to Parma on loan for his first six-months as a Juventus player, before a modest debut Bianconeri season. The 21-year-old scored seven and assisted seven under Andrea Pirlo, including the winner in the Coppa Italia final. But Massimiliano Allegri’s return to the helm has changed the picture for the Stockholm native, and not for the better.

Allegri has already discarded Kulusevski with the reported Tottenham target playing a mere 271-minutes over nine appearances in all competitions. Spurs Managing Director Paratici is paying close attention to the forward’s situation with a view to January, per the Mirror.
Kulusevski will be a prime target for Paratici at Tottenham in the mid-season window if his Juventus misery continues. Allegri does not feel the forward has shown the improvements he wanted, and has failed to secure a settled position.
But Juventus would demand Tottenham, or any rival suitor, offer more for Kulusevski than Paratici paid last year. The Bianconeri hierarchy still consider him an important asset due to the winger’s age and high potential. He could also be used to sign an Allegri-backed striker.
Kulusevski will only have a future with Juventus if he convinces Allegri to back him between now and next summer. But a mid-season split is possible, either permanently or on loan.

Should Tottenham sign Kulusevski from Juventus?
Juventus had high hopes for Kulusevski this season after selling Cristiano Ronaldo, but the Tottenham target has failed to shine. The Bianconeri backed the Swede to explode after his steady efforts under Pirlo, however Allegri is already losing his patience.
Kulusevski has shown he has strong potential still, with a goal against Sampdoria in his only Serie A start yet. While Paratici will no doubt also admire his versatility to play on either wing or in attacking midfield positions.
Paratici’s interest in Tottenham possibly signing Kulusevski from Juventus has additionally excited some Spurs supporters on social media. With the forward backed for big things.
“Dejan is a flexible player with great potential,” former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson told TMW in June. “Juventus have secured a really interesting promise in a future key.”
