Newcastle United’s Callum Roberts is reportedly on the radar of Panathinaikos.

Roberts is out of contract at Newcastle at the end of the season, and Greek giants Panathinaikos reportedly want to secure the services of the 21-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The report has claimed that the Green outfit’s sporting director Nikos Dabizas is looking at the possibility of signing the youngster, with the former Greece international central defender having been on the books of the Magpies in the 1990s and 2000s.

Good move for Callum Roberts?
Roberts has been on the books of Newcastle since 2005, but the 21-year-old winger has yet to establish himself in the Magpies’ first team.
The former England Under-20 international has had loan spells at Gateshead, Kilmarnock and Colchester United in recent years.
It is hard to see the youngster break into the Newcastle first team anytime soon, and even if the Magpies offer him a new contract, perhaps the winger should seriously consider moving to Panathinaikos and play in Greece.
