Reported Crystal Palace target Layvin Kurzawa will remain with PSG this summer.
According to L’Equipe via GFFN, the 29-year-old defender has decided to remain in the French capital on the last day of the transfer window. Foot Mercato had previously reported that Palace was offered the chance to sign Kurzawa.
Galatasaray and Lyon were also reportedly eager on the left-back, with Kurzawa keen to leave Paris this window. However, the four-time Ligue 1 winner will now remain with the European giants.
Palace have been looking to sign a left-back for most of the window following the departure of Patrick van Aanholt at the end of last season.
However, the search has so far yielded no results, with Patrick Vieira’s side seemingly targeting a striker today.
Indeed, Sky Sports News report that the Eagles are close to signing Celtic star Odsonne Edouard for a fee that could reach as high as £20m. Eddie Nketiah is also a target, but a deal for the Arsenal star looks unlikely.

Yet one player who will not be joining the Selhurst Park side is Kurzawa. The defender, who joined PSG in 2015 for a fee of €23m (£19.7m) according to ESPN, would have been a solid and experienced addition to Palace this summer.
But with it being deadline day, Vieira could pull something out of the bag to help Palace’s problems at left-back.
