Crystal Palace have failed to reach an agreement with Fluminense for the striker Evanilson, according to Gazeta Esportiva.

It is claimed the two clubs encountered financial differences.

Six-foot-three-inch Evanilson has scored eight goals in 22 games this calendar year and is also said to have received a proposal from the City Football Group, spearheaded by Palace’s Premier League rivals, Manchester City.

But the 22-year-old is not the only Brazilian forward Crystal Palace are considering, according to Gazeta Esportiva.

The newspaper claims Luis Henrique, the Botafogo teenager, is also of interest to the Eagles.

But it adds that Palace have yet to make an official proposal for Henrqiue.

Crystal Palace’s striking options currently comprise Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham, although the latter player spent the second half of last season on loan to Sheffield Wednesday and could be moved on.

Another Eagles attacker, Alexander Sorloth, is tied to his temporary employers Trabzonspor for another nine months, unless an agreement is reached for his sale after links to RB Leipzig.
