West Ham United are believed to be closing in on the signing of Pablo Zabaleta from Manchester City.

According to the London Evening Standard, West Ham United could complete the signing of Pablo Zabaleta as soon as next week.
Zabaleta is set to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, as his contract is expiring.
And the Standard report that West Ham are so close to agreeing a deal to bring the Argentine to the London Stadium that the transfer could go through in the very near future.
Zabaleta has been made one of Slaven Bilic’s top targets this summer, with the Hammers reportedly prepared to offer the 32-year-old a £100,00-a-week contract (The Sun).

Zabaleta would bring a vast amount of Premier League experience with him to West Ham, after becoming a City legend through his performances for the club.
The international defender has made 332 appearances for City, over a nine year stay at the club.

Pep Guardiola is looking to upgrade his full-backs though, and Zabaleta has been deemed surplus to requirements.
If Zabaleta does move to West Ham, he will be in competition with Sam Byram for a first-team place.
