Tottenham Hotspur won’t have the chance to U-turn on Pablo Sarabia.

Pablo Sarabia of Sevilla FC looks on during the La Liga match between Sevilla FC and CD Leganes at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on May 03, 2019 in Seville, Spain.

According to AS, Sevilla playmaker Pablo Sarabia is heading to sign for Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth around €20million (£18million).

Sarabia, 27, had been on the books of Real Madrid, but after thriving with Getafe, he’s now become an absolute star with Sevilla.

The playmaker smashed a staggering 23 goals and 17 assists as an attacking midfielder last season, and he’s unsurprisingly attracted major interest.

It now seems that the Spaniard is heading to the French capital though, with PSG paying €20million directly to Sevilla, rather than paying an €18million release clause, at the wishes of Sarabia.

This is now Sarabia’s big chance to star at a big club after failing to break through at Real Madrid, and he’ll be hoping to prove Mauricio Pochettino wrong for snubbing him.

The Mirror recently claimed that Spurs were offered the chance to sign Sarabia, but Pochettino and Tottenham decided not to pursue a move, instead focusing on Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso.

The decision does make some sense. Sarabia may need around a year to settle in England, and by that time, he’ll end up heading towards 30, when Spurs would potentially look to move on.

Tottenham would prefer to have a younger option, and they’ll just have to hope that Sarabia doesn’t come back to haunt them in a PSG shirt in the Champions League next season.
