According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool playmaker Ovie Ejaria has been left in limbo as a move to Reading could fall through.
The Reds loaned Ejaria out to Reading last summer, with a £3.5million permanent deal agreed to go through at the end of the season.
Ejaria dazzled Championship defences in a superb campaign, notching three goals and five assists whilst producing nonchalant skill throughout the campaign.
Reading fans will have been excited to see Ejaria over the long-term, but financial complications mean they haven’t been able to pay £3.5million fee.
As things stand, Ejaria is still a Liverpool player, but he hasn’t been brought along to the club’s training camp in Austria – and he is currently training with Reading.
Liverpool aren’t rushing into a decision as they await Reading’s answer on a deal, with the Royals trying to find a way to pay up.

The 22-year-old has showed what a talent he is during his time at Reading, and some fans may hope to see Ejaria given another chance at Anfield.
That ultimately looks unlikely, and if Reading can’t pay the money required, a number of other clubs would surely swoop in with bids.
