According to ESPN, Jesse Lingard is furious about his treatment from Manchester United after a loan move to Newcastle United collapsed.

Lingard is also said to be unhappy that the Red Devils have been unwilling to enter negotiations with either West Ham or Tottenham amid reported interest from the two London clubs.

Lingard had a fantastic end to the 2020/21 season, but this term, he’s gone straight back to square one, warming the Manchester United bench and having his immense talent wasted.

The midfielder has been the subject of a lot of interest this month, but Ralf Rangnick’s side have been playing hardball with the England international.

They won’t allow him to join direct rivals West Ham or Tottenham, while United are asking for a ridiculous loan fee from Newcastle, with ESPN reporting that the Red Devils turned down a deal that included a £6m loan fee.

Lingard seemingly just wants to play football, and he’s growing increasingly frustrated about his situation.

To be fair, we can absolutely understand why Lingard is so angry. This is a player who has been described as ‘outstanding’ and as his performances for West Ham last year showed, he deserves so much more than to just be rotting on the bench at Old Trafford.

We can only hope that he can find a move before Monday’s deadline.
