According to The Mirror, Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has told his friends that he sees his future at Barcelona, not at Anfield.
Wijnaldum is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place.
Barcelona are interested in signing the Netherlands international midfielder on a free transfer in the summer of 2021, and the 30-year-old plans on moving to Camp Nou, according to the report.
The former Newcastle United midfielder – described as “outstanding” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Sky Sports in November 2020 – has reportedly told his friends in the Netherlands that he sees his future at Camp Nou.
Liverpool exit inevitable?
With the end of the season just a few weeks away, it does seem that Wijnaldum will leave Liverpool on a free transfer.

If an agreement were to be reached, it would have been sorted by now, and the signs do suggest that the Netherlands international will be at another club next season.
According to WhoScored, Wijnaldum has scored two goals in 31 Premier League games and made nine appearances in the Champions League for the Reds this season.
