Isaac Hayden is reluctant to ask for a move away from Newcastle United as he has such a good relationship with Steve Bruce, the Daily Star report.
Newcastle spent a lot of last summer persuading Hayden to stay, and Bruce was just about able to.
Hayden went on to have a wonderful season at St. James’ Park, and played a key role in any success that Newcastle had last term.
His combative performances in the centre of the pitch really set the tone for his teammates, with Hayden now one of the most reliable figures in the Magpies’ line-up.
However, his desire to move down south remains, and it seems that another summer of speculation over the 25-year-old’s future is about to happen.
Hayden has just one year left on his Newcastle contract and is unlikely to pen new terms.
The player is apparently not going to ask for a transfer as he doesn’t want to hurt Bruce, who is a manager he has great respect for.

However, Newcastle may need to offload him this year, if they are to bring in any money for him.
Bruce apparently is happy to keep Hayden for the season and let him go on a free next year, but whether Newcastle’s board will allow him to take such an approach remains to be seen.
If Newcastle were to lose Hayden it would be a major blow, as Bruce labelled him as ‘outstanding’ towards the end of last season, in the Chronicle.
Newcastle have brought in Jeff Hendrick this summer to bolster their midfield ranks, but Hayden’s departure would still leave their options in the position looking limited.
