Liverpool have reportedly been tracking the Real Madrid forward this summer.

According to a report from Marca, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is willing to give reported Liverpool target Marco Asensio another chance, rather than move him on this summer.
A report from the Express claimed yesterday that Real Madrid were prepared to offer the Spanish international as part of a potential deal to sign Sadio Mane.
The latest report seems to conflict those rumours, however.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Asensio for quite some time now, with Spanish media outlet AS claiming that he could be available for around £85 million.
The Reds currently have a really strong attacking line-up, but following Daniel Sturridge’s exit, they might just be on the look-out for another attacker.

According to Marca, however, they might just have to consider someone else other than Asensio.
In truth, the Spaniard hasn’t quite lived up to expectations over the past few years, so Liverpool won’t be too disappointed at the prospect of missing out on the Spain international.
