According to a report from the Metro, Naby Keita has been omitted from Liverpool’s squad for their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich tomorrow night due to a minor injury.

The 24-year-old joined the Reds in the summer of 2018 from RB Leipzig for around £52.75 million, according to the Independent, and if truth be told, he has really disappointed, chalking up just one assist and zero goals in 27 appearances in all competitions thus far.

The all-action midfielder has really struggled to adapt to the pace and intensity of the Premier League, and he is currently well down the central midfield pecking order at Liverpool.

Jürgen Klopp’s side head to Bavaria to take on Bayern having drawn the first-leg 0-0 at Anfield three weeks ago, and they will have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating the German giants.

The Guinean is reportedly unavailable due to a minor injury, but his absence shouldn’t affect Liverpool too much, with so many other top quality options available to Klopp in the middle of the park.
