Newcastle have a decent squad which can challenge for a top-10 finish in the Premier League this season.

However, for the Magpies to genuinely break into the top 10, they need a proven goalscorer.

Benitez need to have a striker in his team who can score goals regularly and find the net 15 to 20 goals in the Premier League.

Joselu, Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic are good strikers, but they have been proven not to be exactly reliable in terms of finding the back of the opposition net regularly.

Newcastle could also do with a new full-back given the injury problems in that department, and a creative midfielder could elevate the Magpies to a whole new level.

The Magpies are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from eight matches, just four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
