Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker is reportedly on the radar of Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich are interested in signing Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.
According to the report, Manchester City are expected to make an offer of £45 million for Walker this week, but Bayern are keeping tabs on the defender.
It has been claimed that Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that the England international right-back would fit perfectly into his squad. According to The Express, Walker would cost a new club £150,000 per week in wages.
“Carlo Ancelotti needs to replace club legend Philipp Lahm who is retiring this season,” states the report in The Express.
“The Italian boss believes that Walker, who would cost him £150,000 a week in wages, would fit perfectly into his squad.”
It seems that former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Ancelotti thinks highly of Walker. After all, the England international would be replacing Philipp Lahm at Bayern.
Lahm has retired from professional football. The 33-year-old was one of the best right-backs in the world over the past several years, and it would not be easy for anyone to replace the former Germany international.
Ancelotti’s (reported) admiration of Walker should make the defender proud, as the Italian is one of the best managers in the world and has worked with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth among other top players in his career.
