West Ham United are reportedly pursuing four players for January.

According to Football.London, West Ham United are targeting four players in the January transfer window – and Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron is a top target.

The Hammers have been patchy under Manuel Pellegrini this season, claiming three wins, three draws and six defeats in their 12 Premier League games so far.

With a major injury to Andriy Yarmolenko adding to the absence of Manuel Lanzini, West Ham need more creativity to come in during the January transfer window – and that appears to be a top priority.

Football.London report that Atlanta United playmaker Almiron is a main target in January, with both Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos tracking the Paraguayan star.

Almiron has hit 13 goals and 13 assists in this MLS season, and is all set for a move to England in January, with West Ham now attempting to force themselves to the front of the queue.

West Ham also want three more signings, with a left back, central midfielder and striker believed to be on Pellegrini’s radar too, with central midfield hardly a surprise after injuries to summer signings Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez.

Neither Arthur Masuaku nor Aaron Cresswell have been able to prove that they are the clear first-choice left back for Pellegrini, and a new addition there may just push Masuaku forward into a left wing role – or push Cresswell out of the exit door.

Up top, Javier Hernandez is out of favour and Andy Carroll is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning real competition for Marko Arnautovic will be wanted – and a target man would be little surprise given Pellegrini’s penchant for them in the past, such as Salomon Rondon, Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko.
