West Ham United have endured a dismal start to the season.

According to the London Evening Standard, West Ham United are expecting Manuel Pellegrini to ‘make it work’ with his current squad and aren’t planning to splash the cash in January.
The Hammers were busy in the summer transfer window, bringing 10 news signings to the club in order to boost new manager Pellegrini’s options ahead of the new season.
However, West Ham have lost all four of their Premier League games this season, with Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers particularly galling.
Pellegrini is already under pressure, but it seems that West Ham aren’t willing to sack the Chilean so early into his reign – but also aren’t prepared to spend heavily on overhauling his squad again in January.
West Ham spend almost £100million on new signings this summer without really bringing in much in sales, and the London Evening Standard report that Pellegrini is expected to ‘make it work’ with what he has.

The current plan for West Ham is to avoid spending big on a raft of signings in January, and that may be disappointing for Hammers fans, who still feel that more additions are needed.
Summer signings such as Fabian Balbuena, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Lucas Perez have yet to impress, but there seemingly won’t be any plans to bring in big new faces in January – even if Pellegrini desperately needs more energy in midfield, with West Ham instead wanting him to succeed with what he has, and what he has already signed.
