According to London Football News, Tottenham Hotspur have held discussions with West Bromwich Albion over the transfer of Rekeem Harper.

It has been reported that talks have taken place about Tottenham signing Harper from West Brom in the summer transfer window and then sending the 19-year-old midfielder back on loan to The Hawthorns for the 2019-20 campaign.

Competition

Tottenham, though, are not the only club reportedly interested in Harper. According to The Mirror, Liverpool and Juventus want to secure the services of the England Under-21 international as well.

The youngster is out of contract at West Brom this summer, but new manager Slaven Bilic plans to hold talks with him over a new deal, according to the report.

Good plan?

Harper is a very good midfielder, but the 19-year-old is not yet ready to play week in and week out for Tottenham.

It would make sense for the midfielder to stay at West Brom for one more season and play regular first-team football in the Championship before making the step-up to the Premier League.
