Crystal Palace have struggled in the final third this season.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Roy Hodgson will be given significant funds to strengthen his forward options in January, as the south London outfit continue to struggle in front of goal this season.
The Eagles currently sit in 15th spot in the Premier League table, having taken just seven points from their opening nine league outings, and scoring only five goals in the process.
Palace were forced to start Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend as auxiliary front men away at Everton last weekend – a move that highlighted their need for extra firepower in the final third.
The Daily Mail claims that Hodgson will be significantly backed during the January transfer window, and will be provided with substantial funds to bring in a top-class hitman.
Until then, however, the south London outfit will have to make do with what they’ve got.
Next up for Palace is a home game against Arsenal on Sunday, and Hodgson’s men will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Unai Emery’s in-form Gunners side.
