Everton play host to West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday.
According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Everton have somewhat of an injury crisis on their hands ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Ham at Goodison Park, with nine first-team players doubtful for the game.
Marco Silva’s side have made a decent start to their Premier League campaign, having taken six points from their opening four matches, and they are still yet to lose a game.
Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers, meanwhile, have made a torrid start to their 2018/19 campaign, and currently sit rock bottom of the table after losing all four of their league matches thus far.
Sunday’s clash at Goodison Park will be a vitally important one for West Ham, and according to the Liverpool Echo, they might just be playing Everton at just the right time.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman, Idrissa Gueye, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane, James McCarthy and Theo Walcott.
Silva does have a strong squad of players at his disposal, however, so he will still be quietly confident of picking up a result at home to the Hammers.
West Ham are in desperate need of a win, though, and if all nine Everton players mentioned are not available at the weekend, Pellegrini’s side will be equally confident of taking all three points back to east London.
