Newcastle United are reportedly not willing to sell Ayoze Perez.

According to reports from The Northern Echo, Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez will not be leaving for Barcelona this summer.
Newcastle United have endured a couple of tumultuous seasons over the past few years but despite the Magpies’ troubles, striker Ayoze Perez has managed to prove himself as one of the finest young strikers in the world.

Perez arrived at Newcastle United from Tenerife during the summer of 2014 for a fee of around only £1.5 million and the 24-year-old has certainly impressed since his move to St. James’ Park.
Given his burgeoning reputation, it has been no surprise to see Perez being courted by numerous clubs this summer and recently, claims were made that Spanish champions Barcelona were considering a shock swoop for the striker (Daily Mail).
The report stated that Barcelona had identified Perez as a backup to the trio of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar, and that the Catalan giants were confident of signing the former Tenerife star due to Newcastle’s current status as a Championship side.

However according to reports from the Northern Echo, it has been revealed that Newcastle United will not be tempted into selling Perez to Barcelona this summer.
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is believed to have earmarked Perez as a key figure of his attack for the upcoming Championship campaign and as a result, will not be open to receiving any offers for the young Spaniard.
