Everton reportedly want Watford manager Marco Silva.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Silva has turned down the approach from Everton and is happy to remain at Watford this season.
However, according to the report, the former Hull City boss wants to manage a top club in England or abroad next season.
“Sources close to Silva, 40, reveal his ambitions are huge and he thinks he can become one of the most wanted young managers,” adds the report in The Sun.
“Everton may still look at him next summer but even then they will face an uphill battle for his signature because of the size of his long-term dreams.”
Silva has been a success in England already, with his work at Watford so far this season being hugely impressive.
The Hornets were expected to fight for survival in the Premier League this season, but at the moment they are as high as eighth in the standings.
The Portuguese is a very good manager, and one can understand his (reported) lofty ambitions.
Everton are a hugely ambitious club as well, but it is unlikely that they will be in the Champions League next season, meaning that they could miss out on Silva next summer.
