Aston Villa will welcome Derby County to Villa Park on Saturday.

Aston Villa assistant manager Colin Calderwood spoke to reporters today, and delivered a huge boost, with the news that John Terry is set to return to action against Derby County on Saturday, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The 37-year-old joined the Villans in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Chelsea, and he has gone on to be a real success at Villa Park.

His experience and quality has proven to be invaluable to Steve Bruce’s side this season, and he has brought a certain level of organisation to Villa’s back-line that they had previously lacked.
Terry has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Villans this season, and they have really missed him when he has been unavailable for selection.
The veteran defender has not played since Villa’s 3-1 defeat to Norwich City on April 7th, but Calderwood shared how he is expected to return to action against the Rams at the weekend, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“John had two or three days’ training. He could have played but we can give him more training which will help toward the game next week.”
The Express & Star claims that Steve Bruce will also have Alan Hutton and Neil Taylor back and available for selection in time for Saturday’s game against Gary Rowett’s side.
