Newcastle want to be active in the upcoming transfer window, with Rafael Benitez’s already drawing up a list of targets.
Benitez is hoping that five or six players on his wishlist can be persuaded to move to Tyneside, as he plots to build his squad.
Newcastle are currently the bookies’ favourites to be promoted from the Championship next season, following Benitez’s commitment to stay in charge of the North East club.
