Tottenham Hotspur seem to be closing in on a deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele.

According to a report from French media outlet L’Equipe, Tottenham are inching ever closer to securing a deal to sign Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele, having agreed a €72 million (£64 million) fee for the midfielder.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in Europe, and he will surely go on to be a superb addition for Spurs.
French publication L’Equipe claims that Tottenham will pay Lyon £55 million up front for Ndombele, with an extra £9 million due to be paid to the French club dependent on whether the north London outfit consistently qualify for the Champions League.
Smart move by Spurs
Daniel Levy seems to have pulled off another masterstroke for Tottenham here.
£55 million up front seems to be more than reasonable for a player with the France international’s undeniable quality.

And including a clause where they only pay Lyon more money if they are successful domestically seems to be a no-lose situation for Spurs.
They will surely only be too happy to send more money Lyon’s way if they qualify regularly for the Champions League, and a deal that could total £64 million might just end up being an absolute steal for Tottenham.
