Everton are worried that they will not be able to sign Kieran Trippier from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 64, May 7, 2017).

It has been reported that Everton are planning to make a £12 million bid for Trippier in the summer. However, according to the report, the Toffees are worried that the move may not materialise due to Manchester City’s interest in Kyle Walker.

The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 64, May 7, 2017) has claimed that City are keen on signing England international right-back Walker in the summer transfer window.

If Tottenham lose Walker to City, then, according to the report, the North London outfit will not sell Trippier, who is the second-choice right-back at the moment.

Trippier is a very good right-back, and he would indeed be a good signing for the Toffees. Given that the former Manchester City prospect is 26 years of age, his best days are ahead of him.
