Report outlines ambitious plan that will get Wolves fans really excited

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ stadium currently holds a maximum of around 31,000 people.

According to the Express & Star, Wolves have exciting plans in the pipeline to expand the Jack Hayward Stand at Molineux, doubling its capacity from 5,000 to 10,000.

These must be exciting times to be involved with Wolves, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side currently sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table, and some extremely talented young players, including the likes of Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota, amongst the squad.

The Black Country outfit are currently in the midst of their first real tricky spell of the season, however, having taken just two points from their last three games, but they remain hot favourites to gain promotion to the Premier League.

According to the Express & Star, their are plans afoot at Wolves to really evolve into one of the country’s biggest clubs.

They claim that the Black Country outfit’s hierarchy plan to increase the capacity of the Jack Hayward Stand to 10,000 seats, making it one of the biggest single-tier stands in the country.

Molineux is one of the country’s most loved old stadiums, and if the capacity is increased, it will become an even more electric venue for away teams to visit.

In order for the expansion plans to come to frution, though, Wolves must gain promotion this season, and as long as they get their season back on track today at home to Reading, there is no reason why they won’t achieve that.
