The PSG man is on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur, but Chelsea are ready to hijack the deal, according to reports.
A report emanating from France today outlines a potential concern for Spurs with regards to their hopes of signing PSG right-back Serge Aurier, with Chelsea lying in wait to hijack their deal for the Ivorian, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.
Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to fill the hole left behind by Kyle Walker at Tottenham, and has identified the 24-year-old full-back as the ideal replacement for the England international.

The Mirror claim that the Lilywhites had a £27 million deal lined up to sign the Ivory Coast international, and in today’s day and age, that actually represents fantastic value.
It looks like Spurs will not have things all their own way in their pursuit of Aurier, however, with L’Equipe claiming that Antonio Conte is a big admirer of the PSG man.
They suggest that the west London outfit are ready to gatecrash Tottenham’s move for the powerful defender, as Conte demands more reinforcements ahead of his side’s Premier League title defence.
If Daniel Levy is found wanting once again in the transfer window, Tottenham fans really will be beyond perplexed, especially if bitter rivals Chelsea swoop in and win the race for one of their prime targets.
