The Celtic hitman has been linked with a move away from Brendan Rodgers’ side.

According to a report from French media outlet RMC, Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is keen to leave Parkhead and join up with Ligue 1 side Marseille before the transfer window slams shut on Friday.

The 22-year-old hitman joined the Hoops from Fulham in the summer of 2016, and he has gone on to establish himself as a real hit at the club, scoring an impressive 51 goals in 94 appearances in all competitions.

Dembele is one of the few players Brendan Rodgers has at his disposal who could be classed as a truly elite performer, and losing him this summer surely doesn’t bear thinking about for Celtic fans.

The Daily record claimed earlier this week that Marseille are lining up a bid for the Frenchman, but perhaps what is more concerning for Hoops fans is RMC’s report suggesting that Dembele himself is attracted by the prospect of joining the Ligue 1 side.

Unfortunately for Celtic, they are not in a position to class Dembele as priceless, and if the French club come in with a reasonable offer for the striker, it would be no surprise at all to see him leave for pastures new before Friday’s deadline.
