The Daily Mail claims that Arnautovic is pushing to be back involved with the first-team setup before the end of this year.
West Ham face Watford at home on Saturday, followed by trips to Southampton and Burnley to see out 2018.
They then welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the London Stadium, and perhaps that game will be a realistic target for Arnautovic to make his return to the fold.
