La Liga side have had the Frenchman on their radar for some time.
Newcastle’s Emmanuel Riviere
Reports in Spain are suggesting that Newcastle United striker Emmanuel Riviere has become a transfer target for Spanish side Osasuna.
It is reported by Noticias de Navarra that the Frenchman has been on the list of wanted players at the club for some time now and that his representatives are known to the Osasuna hierarchy.
Newcastle United’s Emmanuel Riviere
The club are hoping to bring in Riviere on an initial season long loan deal with the potential to bring in the player permanently next summer – should the deal prove a success.
Riviere is clearly not in the first-team plans of Rafa Benitez at Newcastle United and would surely be considered available for transfer.

Osasuna are looking to strengthen their squad after winning promotion back to La Liga last season through the Segunda Liga promotion play-offs. Riviere is seen as an affordable option up top.
Osasuna v Malaga
Signed from Monaco, for a fee reported by the Daily Mail to be in the region of £6 million, in July 2014 the striker played just three times for the club last season and is clearly not on the mind of Benitez – playing no minutes so far this term.
A move to Spain might be the best thing for his career at this point.
