Report: Orta & Kinnear want Leeds trio off the wage bill

Victor Orta and Angus Kinnear want Conor Shaughnessy, Jay-Roy Grot and Ouasim Bouy off Leeds United’s wage bill ahead of the season, according to a report.

Leeds Live have claimed that Leeds’ preference is to part ways with them on a permanent basis, but given that they are all in the final year of their contracts, it will be challenging to sell them in that manner.

The Yorkshire giants are making themselves heard in the transfer market following their return to the promised land and it has got the Leeds faithful excited.

Whilst it’s understandable that signings such as Rodrigo and Robin Koch hit the headlines, there is still work needed to be done in regards to who will be heading the other way.

Shaughnessy was on-loan at both Mansfield and Burton during the recently concluded campaign, and more than likely, that’s the market that will be looking for his services again.

As for Grot, he has been another player who hasn’t lived up to expectations and he too was on-loan last term, but he spent it in his native Holland where he played for Vitesse.

But from the above names, it’s perhaps Bouy who is the forgotten man because he penned a four-year contract at the club in 2017, but he’s yet to put on the Whites shirt.

Whilst Shaughnessy and Grot landed loan moves last summer, he didn’t even earn game time elsewhere and it’s just a case of his contract running down by the looks of it.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Leeds faithful don’t remember him given that he has hardly been mentioned in any capacity since he moved to the club.
