According to The Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa players and backroom staff were laughing at the state of the Elland Road pitch before the match against Leeds United at the weekend.
Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League this past Saturday.
The report has claimed that Villa’s squad of players and backroom staff were laughing at the state of the pitch, which has not been great and has been criticised by Leeds striker Patrick Bamford as well as by a number of pundits.
Matt Targett pressed down on the turf hoping that it was not as bad as it looked, according to the report.
Bouncing back
Leeds are having the same problems on the new pitch at Elland Road as opposition teams, and there is nothing that they can do now.

What the West Yorkshire club will have to do is bounce back from the defeat to Villa.
Leeds will return to action next week when they take on West Ham United away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League.
