Marcelo Bielsa was appointed the Leeds United head coach in the summer of 2018.

Bielsa was appointed as the Leeds head coach in the summer of 2018 on a two-year contract.
It has been reported by The Times that although there is a break clause in Bielsa’s contract at Leeds at the end of the season, only the Championship club can exercise it, not the manager.
“Leeds United fans who are fearful that Marcelo Bielsa will leave Elland Road this summer if they are not promoted to the Premier League — their form has been inconsistent, although they won last night to return to the top of the Championship — should not be too concerned as he would be forgoing a £3.4 million salary and leaving himself open to legal action for breach of contract,” states the report in The Times.
“The Argentine head coach’s two-year deal at Leeds contains a break clause at the end of the season but only the club can exercise it.”

Very encouraging for Leeds United
Bielsa has been superb for Leeds, who won 4-0 against West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road in the Championship on Friday evening and are back at the top of the league table.
The Whites are almost certain to earn a playoff spot, and they are very much among the favourites to earn automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Bielsa is hugely popular among the Leeds fans, and the Elland Road faithful will want him to remain charge of the first team next season irrespective of which division they are in.
