According to The Scottish Sun, Neil Lennon will lead Celtic against AC Milan this week – and a move for either Gordon Strachan or Martin O’Neill is unlikely.
It’s claimed that Lennon held a series of meetings with the Celtic hierarchy on Monday, and he still has the support of key men at Parkhead.
That means he has kept hold of his job, and will still be in charge when Celtic walk out at the San Siro in Thursday’s Europe League clash.
Lennon is allegedly ‘determined’ to turn around a dire situation at Celtic, and it seems unlikely that he will now be replaced by one of his own former managers.
Gordon Strachan and Martin O’Neill have both been linked with emotional returns to Celtic, but this report suggests that Strachan doesn’t want a return to top-flight management and the chances of an O’Neill return are ‘slim’.
Mauricio Pochettino and Eddie Howe are also considered unlikely targets for Celtic, meaning Lennon will cling onto his job for a little while longer yet.

Still, having overseen a Champions League exit to Ferencvaros, a home league defeat to Rangers, a torrid Europa League campaign and now an embarrassing Scottish League Cup defeat to Ross County, Lennon is running out of time.
He needs a big result and performance in Italy this week to turn the tide, or that backing from above may disappear quickly.
