One-time Rangers target Lovro Majer is set to finally move on from Dinamo Zagreb after near-constant speculation over his future with a report claiming the Croatian is set to sign for Ligue 1 side Rennes in a €15million deal.

According to Foot Mercato, the 23-year-old has agreed to a deal with the Brittany based side and the two clubs have negotiated a fee for Majer.
The Croatian contributed 11 goals and 14 assists last season for Dinamo and, despite speculation linking him with a move to Rangers last year, he remained where he was.
After being enticed to join Rennes by Technical Director Florian Maurice’s pitch, Majer will get the chance to test himself against some of the best players on the planet in Ligue 1 when he comes up against Lionel Messi and co at Paris SG.
Leeds, Dortmund, Fiorentina, Sevilla and Valencia were all touted as possible destinations for Majer at the start of 2020 with a potential fee of €6million reported but his stock has risen considerably in recent months.
Rangers however opted to bring in Ianis Hagi and have reaped the benefits of signing the Romanian since.
While it would be interesting to see how Majer would have succeeded in Scotland, there probably won’t be too many Rangers fans who would have opted for Majer instead.
With both players around a similar age, Rangers may well look at the sort of fee generated by Majer as a possible benchmark for Hagi.
