Olympiakos are reportedly keen on Celtic’s Dedryck Boyata.
According to Sportime in Greece, Olympiakos are hoping to sign Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata for free as they weigh up defensive reinforcements this summer.
Boyata, 28, is out of contract this summer, and looks set to leave the club having resisted any notion of penning a new contract at Parkhead.
The Belgian centre back attempted to force a move last summer, but ended up staying, with Celtic standing firm and convincing him to see out the final year of his deal.
One of the club interested last summer was Greek giants Olympiakos, with The Sunday Post claiming they failed with a £7million bid to lure him away from Parkhead.
Now though, Sportime claim that Boyata is on the Olympiakos radar again, this time aiming to sign him for free when his contract expires.
Pape Abou Cisse is expected to earn a big move, and Olympiakos subsequently want another defender, with Strasbourg’s Pablo Martinez and AEK Athens ace Vassilis Lambropoulos wanted too.
Boyata will be an especially attractive signing though, especially as they were so convinced about him that they offered £7million just months ago – and could now get him for free.
Having picked up a hamstring injury against Rangers on Sunday, Boyata’s season – and his time with Celtic – may well be over, and a move to Greece could be a possibility.
