According to the Daily Record, Olympiacos are willing to spend £1 million on Celtic centre-back Efe Ambrose.

The Greek giants had targeted Ambrose earlier back in 2015, but their efforts to sign him then proved unsuccessful.

However, Celtic are far more willing to allow Ambrose to leave now – following the arrival of Kolo Toure.

Brendan Rodgers’ options at centre-back look far stronger now, meaning Ambrose’s departure looks inevitable.

The Nigerian international has made a ropey start under Rodgers’ leadership, and it seems that he has now made one error too many.

Ambrose was at fault for the goal which Celtic conceded during Rodgers’ first competitive match in charge, which ended in an embarrassing defeat to Lincoln Red Imps.

Ambrose is currently training with Celtic’s team in Kazakhstan, ahead of the Parkhead side’s match against Astana in the Champions League.
