According to Sport24 in Greece, Olympiacos are planning a new deal for defender Ousseynou Ba amid links to both Arsenal and Liverpool.

It’s claimed that Olympiacos are trying to keep hold of Ba, and want to offer him improved terms already. They only signed Ba last January, and he only began his career in Greece last summer.

Ba has only played 18 games for Olympiacos, but his performances are already attracting interest. That’s why the Greek side, rather than sell quickly for a big profit, want to keep him longer-term.

This report notes that Arsenal and Liverpool want him. Liverpool rumours emerged when Sportime reported that Sadio Mane had recommended him to the Reds.

Arsenal have been linked since he starred against them in the Europa League. FOS Onine have though noted that Ba is only Arsenal’s fourth-choice centre back target.

The 24-year-old Senegalese star was plucked from Gazelec Ajaccio, and is enjoying a meteoric rise. A Premier League move in the future looks like it could be a possibility for a player who was a relative unknown just months ago.

Olympiacos look to be trying to block an exit this summer, but they may not be able to hang on for very long as the Premier League’s elite have already noticed his progress.
