Olympiacos are interested in signing Joao Carvalho from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to Sdna.Gr.

It has been reported that the Greek giants are looking at making a move for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Nottingham Forest spell

Carvalho joined Forest from Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13.2 million.

The Portuguese youngster has made 25 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest so far this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Nottingham Forest exit?

Carvalho has not made as a big an impact at Forest as he was expected to, and the youngster is not guaranteed a place in the Reds’ starting lineup.

However, there is no doubt that the midfielder has a bright future ahead of him, and it must not be forgotten that he is only 22 years of age.

Forest are 11th in the Championship table at the moment with 57 points from 41 matches.
