Odense BK hope to sign Everton outcast Aiden McGeady, according to Danish media outlet TV3 Sport.

McGeady, who spent the second half of last season on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, is yet to feature under new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman.

The 30-year-old is on what the report describes as “monster wages”, which Everton will be keen to shed despite their new-found riches.

This, however, could be a problem for suitors Odense, and a loan deal is the most likely outcome according to TV3 Sport.

McGeady played 14 times at club level last season, though only one of those appearances came in an Everton shirt.

Despite being used more frequently by temporary employers Sheffield Wednesday, he failed to impress Owls head coach Carlos Carvalhal and was asked to train away from the club in the lead up to last season’s Championship play-off final.
