Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp has been working very hard with Nuno on his positioning in training, the Athletic report.
Forcing his way in
Skipp has forced his way into Tottenham’s team this season after returning from a loan spell with Norwich City over the summer.
When the 21-year-old first returned to Tottenham it is claimed that he was uncertain of the role he would be given at the club.
But rather than knock on Nuno’s door and ask questions, Skipp decided to work ‘ferociously’ in training to force his way into the new Spurs’ boss’s plans.
His efforts certainly have paid off, and Skipp is one of the first names on the team sheet for Tottenham right now.
Becoming a mainstay
He was recently left out of Spurs’ team when they took on Arsenal and his absence was keenly felt, as Tottenham lost their structure in midfield.
Nuno has since put the youngster back into his starting line-up at the North London club, and Skipp has not looked back.

While there are still areas of improvement in his game, with Nuno apparently working hard with the midfielder on his positional play, all the ingredients are there for Skipp to become a hugely important player for Spurs.
And if he keeps up his current level of performance then Skipp’s rise will be one major positive to come out of this season for Spurs, wherever they manage to finish.
