Norwich City could bring Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ryan Bennett back to Carrow Road as a replacement for £30 million-rated skipper Ben Godfrey, according to Sky Sports.
A lot has changed at Molineux since a former Canaries favourite swapped East Anglia for the Black Country in 2017.
Bennett was the first signing of the Nuno Espirito Santo era at Wolves. And, in the space of three years, he has helped the Midland giants rise from 15th in the Championship to the latter stages of the Europa League.
The former Peterborough United youngster might never wear that iconic golden strip again, however, with Wolves seemingly looking for upgrades a la Ruben Dias of Benfica and Daniele Rugani of Juventus.
And, after a brief and forgettable loan spell at Leicester City, Sky reports that Bennett could be offered the chance to re-join a Norwich side expected to lose captain fantastic Godfrey amid interest from AC Milan.
The 30-year-old spent five years at Carrow Road between 2012 and 2015, after joining for a cool £3.2 million.

Leicester had the option to sign Bennett permanently for £5 million but, according to the Mercury, they have opted against concluding the deal.
Interestingly, Sky adds that Norwich have also made an approach for Alfie Mawson, a £20 million former Premier League powerhouse who has struggled to force his way into Fulham’s starting XI over recent weeks.
